1. Acceptance

By accessing or using BoatQuest (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.

2. The Service

BoatQuest is an AI-powered boat search and intelligence platform. It aggregates publicly available boat listings and generates AI-assisted reports, price benchmarks, and suitability assessments. BoatQuest is not a broker, dealer, or party to any transaction between buyers and sellers.

3. AI-generated content disclaimer

Reports, valuations, condition assessments, and price benchmarks generated by BoatQuest are produced by artificial intelligence and are provided for informational purposes only. They do not constitute professional marine surveying, valuation, legal, or financial advice.

You should always commission an independent marine survey from a qualified surveyor (e.g., YDSA or IIMS member) before purchasing any vessel. BoatQuest accepts no liability for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

4. Subscriptions and payment

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • You may cancel at any time through your Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial months, except where required by UK consumer law.
  • Prices are shown inclusive of VAT where applicable.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute listing data or reports in bulk without written permission
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited communications to brokers or sellers
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent any technical measure
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

6. Trade API terms

Access to the BoatQuest Trade API (available on the Trade plan) is subject to the following additional conditions:

  • API data must not be resold, sublicensed, or redistributed to third parties without written permission from AirOMair Ltd (SC328639) trading as BoatQuest.
  • Attribution is required wherever data sourced from BoatQuest is displayed (e.g., “Powered by BoatQuest”).
  • Rate limits apply as specified in the API documentation. Exceeding limits may result in temporary suspension.
  • Automated bulk harvesting beyond normal API usage patterns is prohibited.

7. Intellectual property

All content, design, software, and AI models on BoatQuest are owned by AirOMair Ltd (SC328639) trading as BoatQuest or its licensors. Boat listing data remains the property of the respective advertisers. You are granted a limited, non-transferable licence to access the Service for personal use.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AirOMair Ltd (SC328639) trading as BoatQuest shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the Service, including any decision to purchase or not purchase a vessel. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
